The laboratories at our Centers of Excellence are equipped to conduct a variety of studies that answer your specific product development questions. We partner with you to evaluate new products, packaging and processes with Challenge Studies, Shelf-Life Studies, and Process Validations. When a new analytical method is needed, Method and Matrix Validations assure that the method is fit-for-purpose.
The food industry routinely uses challenge studies to identify food safety hazards due to pathogen outgrowth. The data from these studies allows manufacturers to determine whether their products are suitably formulated or packaged to prevent a pathogen hazard or will require time / temperature or other controls for safety. Deibel Laboratories develops study protocols for our clients’ unique and specific criteria.
SHELF LIFE STUDIES
Deibel Laboratories conducts shelf life studies for our clients that provide them with information on the stability of their products over time under ideal and abusive storage conditions, the potential for spoilage, strategies for extension of shelf life and troubleshooting spoilage issues.
Deibel Laboratories helps our clients scientifically validate their preventive process controls in compliance with HACCP and Food Safety plan requirements.
METHOD / MATRIX VALIDATIONS
Deibel Laboratories performs Matrix and Sample Size Validations that determine if your rapid method of analysis is fit for purpose. We can provide our clients with information on whether a particular microbiological method has been accredited for their specific food matrices, pathogen targets and sample sizes and assess whether a Matrix Validation is indicated.
