This method is used to determine the oil content in oilseeds by solvent extraction. The results are expressed on an “as-received” basis or on a “dry-weight” basis. Oil content results may be used to set a price for delivery of a particular commodity load-out. The oil extracted by this method may also be used for compositional analysis of the oil to determine the fatty acid composition.
